The first time my wife and I went to a taquero event with our three cats, I was blown away by the prices. All three cat ladies were more than happy to help me feed them and then they left to take care of the dogs. The most affordable price for a meal was $12 per person. The next time we were there and my wife and I were the only customers, I asked the cat ladies if they would be willing to split the cost of the meal.
Now that I think about it, that was pretty cheap. I’m not sure if I’m just having trouble imagining it now, but I remember once asking the cat lady if she could charge me the same as I was charging her, but she said no.

Yeah, people tend to just assume that the only way to get a cat is to be a stripper, so if you’re a stripper, you can probably get a cat, so if you’re a cat lady, you might want to stop applying to the local pet store.
The way I view this is from the perspective of a stripper. I was born and raised in South Central Asia, where cats are a dime a dozen. The thing is, though, I can tell you exactly what the average pet store cat lady charges.
As we all know, cats are a lot of work. Also, cats are so expensive that if you do have one, you might want to consider just getting a dog.
