Welcome to our second blog, Mariano’s Catering.

The name is a bit of a joke. To quote a friend of mine, the name “Marianos” is an acronym for the Spanish word for “Mariners.” But if you know what we mean, you can see that it’s also a reference to the famous song by the Argentinian band, La Marinera.

What we love about this blog is that it’s very much like the food blog we mentioned at the start of the year, except there are a lot more pictures. More than that we like to think, it’s about cooking. Like the fact that there are recipes to be found, and that pictures are often included in the recipes. And the fact that there are pictures of the food being cooked. I mean, look at that, it’s a recipe for a chicken in a bowl of broth.

If you like cooking with food pictures, then you like this blog. If you love cooking with food pictures, then you’re going to love this blog. We love to see photos of food that have been cooked. Why? For many reasons: the picture is often the link to the recipe; the picture is often the link to the post, so that you can see what it was cooked by; the picture is often the link to the recipe, so that you can read the recipe’s instructions.
