I am often asked by people what is it that I do to make my time as a vendor at events both enjoyable and productive. The answer is a bit of both, but the most important part is that I am not just a vendor. I am a vendor at the event. I am a vendor at the service station, I am a vendor at the bar, I am a vendor at the restaurant, I am a vendor at the coffee shop, and I am a vendor at the booth.
When you’re a vendor you are literally serving your customers. When you’re a vendor at events you are literally serving your customers. Your job is to make the customer’s experience at the event both enjoyable and productive. Your job is to make each customer feel special and unique. Your job is to make each customer feel good about the time they spent with you.
It is true that some vendors focus on the customer experience while others focus on the cost. With the same items, the experience can be different, but the cost still has the same order. You can try to change the experience by using a different style of service, but that will also cost you more and won’t get you the same results. It is important to remember that your customers are the ones who are paying for your services, not you.
I don’t know about you, but I like to cook. So when I see a good looking (and reasonably priced) buffet, I’m usually pretty sure I can afford it. If I really want something I’m willing to spend a lot of money on, I will go out of my way to try to make it special.
I’ve noticed that most buffet food is pretty similar. They serve the same dishes in fairly similar ways, but they don’t follow the same steps. They have a set menu with a few options each day, and they don’t take as much care in the preparation and serving of each dish. For example, when you order a set of fried calamari, each dish is generally just fried and served at the same time.
I would be so far off base if I thought buffet food was any different. They are just as busy, busy, busy, and busy as we are, and just as over prepared. They’ll probably serve more food than they can eat, because it’s a long weekend and you want to look like you’re having a good time. But you know what? If my order doesn’t taste good, my coworkers probably don’t like it either.
If youre looking for a good place to host a party, buffet or otherwise, brunch is probably a good place because there are tons of places to sit and grab some food, and it’s a bit cheaper than a restaurant. Some people like taking their food to go, but I just don’t.
I personally think brunch is one of the best places to eat when youre in a rush, because of the variety of food and the atmosphere. All you have to do is pick from the buffet, get your drinks, and get your order! It really is the perfect way to end an awesome day. And there are many restaurants that do everything I just said, but brunch is the most organized and efficient way I know of to do it.
There are plenty of brunch places that do all the things I just listed and more, but brunch is probably the most consistently good place to eat when youre on the go. You can get there for under $80, and that’s just for the buffet. If you’re out of town for a few days you can get there for a lot less.
It also gives you the option of taking a meal to work or to work out, which I would never do. Your body will eventually digest whatever you eat and you will be bloated for weeks after.
